Not even sleeping pills can make Eminem’s latest troubles go away. The rapper, who is currently being treated for sleep aid dependency for his addiction to Ambien, has recently been named in two lawsuits.
In one case he is being sued along with his tour bus driver and Entertainment Coaches of America for the recent tour bus crash that injured members of his Anger Management Tour and other motorists as well. As the bus swerved to avoid a potential accident it ended up hitting a tractor-trailer which carried a husband and wife who are seeking the damages specified in the suit.
In the second case he is being sued by his aunt and uncle, Betty and Jack Schmitt, who claim Eminem is trying to evict them from a home he built for them.

It was a crazy weekend surrounding this year’s MTV VMAs. A hurricane almost stopped the show, as already reported by MyHipHopSpace, Suge Knight got shot, and to top it off Fat Joe and 50 Cent aired their dirty laundry on live TV.
Before presenting Missy Elliot with an award, Fat Joe fueled the recent rap war flames between him and 50 Cent by saying “I feel so safe tonight with all this police protection, courtesy of G-Unit,”. This comment earned him a few boos while Missy got up to accept the award. However, it wasn’t until afterward she acknowledged that obscenities could be heard flying through the air at Fat Joe.
The last word belonged to 50 Cent and G-Unit because after they performed towards the end of the show, 50 Cent and Tony Yayo replied with “F**K Fat Joe” and “Fat Joe is pu$$y” all of which was audible during the live show. All in all, it was an unnecessary beef in an otherwise “boring” show.

Jim Jones’ new video “Baby Girl/G’s Up” is being banned by Canadian Music Station, Much Music.
The station feels that the message on Jones’ shirt during the G’s Up part of the video will negatively impact Law Enforcement and citizen relations. The black shirt has a stop sign design on the front with the words “Stop Snitching” scribed across the chest.
With gun violence on the rise and citizens becoming less likely to share information they have about it, the Toronto, Ontario-based station wanted to make sure that they prevented this way of thinking from becoming glamorized. Jones insists that the t-shirt had nothing to do with not helping the police but everything to do with helping people to use their integrity.
“I do a lot of community work in Harlem and I am a Board Member of the Hip-Hop Summit Committee,” Jones explained. “And this year, I will be taking part in the Million Man March, an upcoming demonstration in Washington, DC that encourages people to build communities, avoid violence, register to vote, and invest in black businesses.”
Jim Jones’ Harlem: Diary of a Summer is currently available in stores.

Roc-A-Fella’s newly crowned princess, Teairra Mari has had her “Make Her Feel Good” single remixed so many times you might as well call her the Remix Queen.
Memphis Bleek, Joe Budden, Sheek Louch and Jadakiss have all made unofficial remixes of the hot track and have already put them out on mixtapes.
Don’t be fooled though, the official “Make Her Feel Good” remix features none other than Roc-A-Fella’s own Jay-Z and Kanye West.

Kanye West wants Hip-Hop to realize how homophobic it’s been in the last couple of years.
The realization came after West’s cousin came out to him, and told him that he was gay.
“It was kind of like a turning point when I was like, ‘Yo, this is my cousin. I love him and I’ve been discriminating against gays,’” West said in an interview with MTV.
After this experience, he realized that Hip-Hop needs to come to terms with the way the word “gay” is used and how homosexuals are treated. Kanye says that the word gay in the Hip-Hop community is frequently thrown around as something negative. He believes that this kind of negativity should not be in Hip-Hop.
West also adds, “Not just Hip-Hop, but America just discriminates. And I wanna just, to come on TV and just tell my rappers, just tell my friends, ‘Yo, stop it.'’”
Kanye West’s sophomore album, Late Registration, is in stores August 30th.

Rapper Snoop Dogg will soon be launching a line of skateboards and accessories.
The idea came from Snoop’s brother, Bing Worthington Jr. , when he pitched the project to Pentagon Distribution, distributor for Kampus Wakeskates and shoes.
The idea behind the Snoop Dogg Board Company (SDBC) is to bridge the narrowing gap between skateboarding and the Hip-Hop culture.
“With our music industry connections and concerts, we know this project is going to get big” says Worthington, “We are down with skateboarding and want to get more music fans into skateboarding.”
The skateboard line is due to hit stores next year.
